Campaign Spotlight:
Kim Stopak and Family

We are very grateful to Kim Stopak and Family for their support of Community Resource Center through volunteerism and their Transformational Level contribution towards our Capital Campaign. Kim and her family’s commitment to service has made a meaningful difference at CRC, and we are pleased to express our gratitude for their generous contributions by naming an office in our Food and Nutrition Center in their honor as Kim Stopak and Family.

Kim Stopak is an experienced interior designer who has generously donated her expertise to further Community Resource Center’s mission. Her design talents have enhanced the environment at CRC’s resale stores, creating inviting and well-organized spaces that elevate the shopping experience for our customers. Kim’s contributions also extend to our new Trauma Recovery Center in Carlsbad, where her skillful work has been instrumental in creating a serene and welcoming space that fosters healing and recovery for those in need.

In this Campaign Spotlight, Kim shares why she and her family passionately support CRC’s Capital Campaign and the meaningful work being done to uplift our community.

Honored to Give Back

First of all, I must tell you how honored I am to be a part of this amazing community that CRC has created! When I first moved to North County in 2019, I learned of the outstanding work that the CRC was doing to support so many people in my community. I knew I had to be part of it somehow. 

As an interior designer, I was grateful to have the opportunity to volunteer my time and expertise at both the CRC resale stores and the new Trauma Recovery Center. Coupling my design passion with these volunteer opportunities has been really exciting for me.

The work being done to support domestic violence survivors, in particular, really spoke to my heart. I love creating spaces where clients who come into these places feel comfortable, safe, and cared for.

There is something incredibly satisfying about giving back to a community that I love so much and being able to incorporate my passion for interior design. My 85-year-old mother has also picked up on my excitement about volunteering with CRC. She and her friends in her retirement community have shown an interest in helping out and asked what they can do to make a difference. I love that!

I am also incredibly grateful to have the means to offer financial support. I am extremely proud to be part of a community that supports those in need and the work being done to advance this effort. Watching the progress of the Capital Campaign has been so exciting, and it’s an honor to have my family’s name on an office in the new Food and Nutrition Center. I can’t wait to see the new and improved space where CRC will continue to thrive!
