Highlighting the David C. Copley Foundation
… for their generous campaign gift of $25,000
In past articles, we highlighted some of the individuals who have made generous campaign gifts to help us achieve over 56% of our $10.5 million campaign goal.
Our community’s generosity shows up from a variety of sources – individuals, businesses, and private foundations – and we are delighted to share our appreciation for the David C. Copley Foundation, for their campaign gift of $250,000.
CRC’s relationship with The David C. Copley Foundation began in 2016 with financial support of our programs and services.
“The David C. Copley Foundation is proud to support Community Resource Center’s One Heart Capital Campaign. CRC has provided invaluable services to domestic violence victims and the unhoused for many years and they have clearly outgrown their current space which is also in need of significant upgrades and improvements.
The new space will allow CRC to expand critical services so they can increase the number of people served while providing a more private setting to this vulnerable population.”
Kimberly Koch, Chief Operating Officer
The David C. Copley Foundation (formerly known as the Helen K. and James S. Copley Foundation) began in 1953 as The Copley Foundation. David C. Copley, the son of Helen K. and James S. Copley, was a businessman and philanthropist, born and raised in San Diego. He passed away in 2012 and his family’s legacy lives on with independent directors whose mission is to continue the Copley Family legacy working ceaselessly to support those in need with empathy and kindness.
